Training - Emergency First Response First Aid
|
Our 1 day EFR programme is composed of two modules; Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid). Both of which follow the same priorities of care used by professional rescuers.
The EFR Primary Care (CPR) assumes that local Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers are in place to support First Aid Responder care. The EFR Secondary Care (First Aid) assumes that EMS is delayed or unavailable.
Primary Care (CPR) covers emergency care for most life threatening emergencies. Participants focus on primary care through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice. The major skills learned are:- Scene Assessment, Barrier Use, Primary Assessment, Rescue Breathing, One Rescuer Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Conscious Choking Adult Serious Bleeding Management, Shock Management, Spinal Injury Management. |
