Training - PADI Scuba Equipment Specialist Course

If you've invested in your own dive equipment you will want to know how to look after it properly.

 

So learn how your scuba equipment works and some simple steps to help ensure it doesn't let you down. Proper care and simple maintenance will ensure that your scuba equipment it lasts longer and cut down on expensive repair bills.

 

What is involved

During this PADI course you will learn:-

   the theory, principles and operation of scuba diving equipment

   routine care, maintenance and storage procedures

   how to overcome common problems with equipment

   what is involved with professional maintenance procedures

 

You will have a chance to see and interact with many types of scuba equipment including various accessories, torches, regulators, BCDs, dive knives, dive computers, dive suits, weight systems, photography equipment, cylinders and more!

 

The more you know about how your dive equipment works the more comfortable you are with it, the better you can maintain it and the longer it should last you.

 

 

                            

 

Course Prerequisite: PADI Scuba Diver or equivalent.

 

This course can be completed in a day and there are no dives required, so you can take the Equipment Specialist course any time of the year.
 

On completion of the course you will be awarded the PADI Equipment Specialist award. This can be accredited as one of the five speciality ratings a diver has to attain to achieve the highest non-instructional qualification on the PADI curriculum - Master Scuba Diver.
 

Please Note. The PADI Equipment Specialist Course is not an equipment servicing course, but a maintenance and minor repair course (servicing should only be carried out by an authorised agent).
