Training - IAHD Nitrox 36 Diver Course

Some people look upon Nitrox as a gas for technical diving use. In our application, nothing could be further from the truth. There is no need to be technically orientated to enjoy the benefits of diving with Nitrox, which offers a significant advantage to any diver.

During the course you will learn about:-
• Nitrox and what it is
• the benefits of nitrox over air
• Nitrox cylinders and their markings
• Nitrox equipment and regulators
• analysers and how to use them
• the signs and symptoms of Central Nervous System Oxygen toxicity.

Although additional training and technology are necessary to safely and effectively conduct Nitrox dives, the benefits more than justify the extra planning and considerations required.

Course prerequisites:
Minimum age by course start is 12 years.
You must also submit a medical approval for diving.

The IAHD uses a multilevel certification system. The safety of the diver and other divers are the main focus. You and your instructor will discuss this during the training.

Level 1: Diver may dive with any other certified diver.

Level 2: Diver must dive with 2 adult certified divers of whom at least one has completed at least the IAHD Dive Partner Training.

Level 3: Diver must dive with 3 adult certified divers of whom at least one has completed the IAHD Dive Leader training or beyond.
