Training - IAHD Surface Support Course

Many non divers would like to be involved in diving without having to go through a complete diver training course. This one day training program is designed to answer their request. It is not a diver certification course.

The Surface Support Specialist Program will train people to assist in assembling dive equipment; helping others to prepare for a dive; track divers during a dive; assist at the end of the dive; responding to calls for help and assisting in a rescue situations.

Although it is not necessary to go into the water on every dive, part of the training will involve getting into and out of the water. Local circumstances will dictate the necessity to enter the water and the water temperature may require the Surface Support Specialist to wear a dive suit.

We strongly recommend that every Surface Support Specialist be trained in First Aid, CPR and as an Oxygen Provider, although it is not required for certification.

We can also provide a range of EFR, DAN or PADI courses to meet your First Aid requirements.
