Learn how to take great underwater digital photos.
Would you like to share the adventure and show your friends how beautiful the underwater world is. If so, this course is the right one for you! By taking the PADI Digital Underwater Photography specialty course you’ll soon be taking pictures like the pros. And you’ll also learn to process your photos on the computer.
Level 1. What’s Involved:-
- Point-and-shoot cameras and their practicalities.
- White balancing.
- Colour filters.
- Taking photographs without external flash.
Level 2. What’s Involved:-
- Using histograms.
- File formats.
- Image resolution.
- Picture composition.
- Organization and archiving.
You will also get to learn the PADI S.E.A. method (Shoot, Examine and Adjust) of digital underwater photography. The course materials include the new PADI Digital Underwater Photography Manual and an underwater white-balance slate.
On completion of both levels you will be awarded the PADI Digital Underwater Photography Speciality, which can be accredited towards the Adventures in Diving/Advanced Open Water or as one of the five speciality ratings to attain to achieve the highest non-instructional qualification on the PADI curriculum – Master Scuba Diver.
Course Prerequisite
PADI Open Water Diver (or Junior. Open Water) or equivalent. Successful completion of Level 1 is the prerequisite for Level 2. Certified divers can get Level 2 credited as an adventure dive for the PADI Adventures in Diving program.
Participation in both levels is also open for snorkellers who will receive a non-diving certificate after successful completion.
